That's bs, of course, it is. The domestic violence law, that would've made it separate kind of crime, didn't pass. But it still is a crime - as assault against any person is.

Did you know Russia has less abortions per capita than the USA and one of the least in the world? I was surprised. There was a lie spread to conservatives by Zelenskiyites that Russia was the abortion capital of the world, using stats from the 90s when they lacked birth control!

Ah yeah not surprised, this is how all Zelenskiyites operate. One second he's saying Russians aren't trad christians whatever. The next he's saying to the communists that Russians are christians fascists etc.

Strictly speaking, that is not true. In 2010th Russia held 2nd place among top immigration destinations in the world, after the US. Before the war, I believe, it was the 4th place (after US, UAE and Germany).

Putin govt decided to promote Russia (both abroad and at home) as a "conservative country". As Jonny noted, nothing can be further from the truth (which by itself is not bad). Inside Russia all this "conservative" propaganda induces even more bewilderment, than outside of it.
